“Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.”
—Robin Williams as John Keating in the move Dead Poets Society
A true partnership between a patient and a clinician is the first step in managing mental health effectively. In my practice, the patient’s experience is key to understanding how to best explore treatment options. Due to the size of the practice, each patient will be treated as a person, not a number.

Karilyn SHelton, APRN, PMHNP-BC, BSN, RN
I love the challenge of treating mental health. I have been a psychiatric nurse for 7.5 years, 2 of those years were in an adolescent residential treatment center. I treat all mental illnesses and all ages, backgrounds and stages of life. Let’s have a conversation to see how I can best help you make the most of your life.

Limited pscyhotherapy
I have experience in talk therapy, CBT (cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialetical Behavioral Therapy).

Medication management
Medication can be used to treat many different mental health illnesses. I am more than happy to have a conversation with you about which medications will be the best fit for you.

Supportive Care
Many patients decide that they do not want to take medications for various reasons. I will provide the care that is most beneficial to you, as the patient, even when medication is not the route you would prefer.
